Please take a moment to send Chip Jones a warm welcome to FAAMA and Chapter 157.
For those that have been around NATCA and Atlanta ARTCC, you know Chip.
Chip brings passion to the management ranks along with a wealth of ATC
knowledge.
He has been known to write a ballad or two with a true South Cackalacky and Civil War twang.
People say "Once a Marine always a Marine". Chip is also a Marine that served our country. OORAH!

February Newsletter
Hello Chapter 157,
Welcome to 2013 and what a year it appears to be so far.
As a chapter, we are going strong. Your new e-board has passed a balanced budget and even had room to add an additional scholarship this year. As a chapter, we are participating in the Fayette County Relay for Life. We are working in partnership with Livingston Federal to bring our members the opportunity to participate in Working Advantage. We are exploring new ways to stay in contact with our members. With this newsletter, we are trying MailChimp as way to present a more professional way to communicate with you. This system also allows your e-board the opportunity to see if our newsletter is being read and if your email addresses are correct.
Chapter 157 Scholarship - In addition to the $1000 and two $500 college scholarships the Chapter has offered in the past, we are very excited to be offering on ADDITIONAL $1000 scholarship. This scholarship will be competitive based on criteria and is available to any current college student or high school student accepted to and expecting to attend college in the following school year. See the attached document for scholarship information and application. http://gallery.mailchimp.com/9178b77ea7e70e6a7fbdf1cb0/files/2013Scholarship.pdf
Relay for Life - The Fayette County Relay for Life will be May 17th at the Fayette County High School. Our Chapter is still looking for volunteers to participate in the walk and to help raise funds. Contact Stephanie Gadson to see how you can help. sgadson26@bellsouth.net
Membership Drive - Starting February 18th, we are holding a membership drive and offering a current member an opportunity to win one of two prizes. For each new member signed up to become a member of FAAMA Chapter 157, the recruiter's name will be submitted for a drawing. The membership drive will end June 1, 2013. The winner will choose from one of the following:
Airfare, lodging at South Point, and registration fees to the 33rd Gathering of Eagles in Las Vegas, NV October 27-31, 2013, or
One Apple I-pad
Livingston Federal is offering a no-cost benefit to FAAMA Chapter 157 members. For being a member of FAAMA and particularly Chapter 157, you have the opportunity to join Working Advantage to receive discounts for items you use today. Over the past few years, our Chapter has mainly held regular meetings in the form of Chapter Dinners to entice attendance, provide an opportunity for members to get to know each other and network. The e-board is exploring the idea of tweaking the dinners. We have discussed bowling events, firing ranges, and Stone Mountain just to name a few. We have also discussed moving the regular meetings to different areas so other members have the opportunity to attend. Please send your ideas to one of the e-board members.
